He was born in Istanbul in 1986. He completed his undergraduate studies at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Music and Performing Arts. He studied ney (reed flute) with Neyzen Sadreddin Özçimi and continued his training in both ney and vocal performance with Ahmed Şahin. He also received instruction on makam (modal system) and usûl (rhythmic cycles) from Özer Özel. Additionally, he attended makam analysis classes led by the late master Necdet Yaşar, thereby deepening his understanding of classical Turkish music theory and repertoire. He has participated in various concerts both in Turkey and abroad. He took part numerous times in the Enderun-style Tarawih prayers and the collective muezzinship performances (cumhur müezzinliği) held at imperial (Selâtin) mosques, as a member of the ensemble formed by Ahmed Şahin.
